In seasons when our faith feels weak, scattered, or distant, it’s not because God has stopped speaking—it’s often because we've stopped tuning in. Faith isn't just a feeling or concept but a posture. It’s about placing ourselves in the right position to hear God again.
Through the word "Faith" and Romans 10:17, I've realized God wants to hear from me as I am now, not from where I was or want to be. This month, I've learned to ask God what He is saying now, without preconceived thoughts, aligning my heart to listen.
With the month coming to a close, I wanted to review the Faith acrostic and provide practical steps to help us Hear Again, God.
F.A.I.T.H. acrostic as a guide for resurrecting your faith and restoring your hearing:
F – Fixed
Action Step:
Fix your focus back on God. Remove the distractions pulling your heart in different directions.
Set a time each day to be still and look to Him first, before checking emails, social media, or news.
A – Assurance
Action Step:
Anchor yourself in the promises of God.
Write down 3 promises from Scripture that you can speak over your life daily.
I – In
Action Step:
Place your trust "in" the right place.
Reflect: Am I trusting in circumstances, people, or my own strength? Reposition your faith IN the Heavenly Father.
T – The
Action Step:
Remember you serve The One true God.
Spend a few minutes in worship each day, acknowledging that God is not "a" source—He is "The" Source.
H – Heavenly Father
Action Step:
Relate to God as your Heavenly Father, not just a distant deity.
Pray simply and relationally. Talk to Him as you would a loving, trustworthy parent.
Final Thought:
Faith isn’t about shouting louder—it’s about leaning closer. When you fix your focus, anchor your assurance, trust in the right Source, remember who God is, and relate to Him as your loving Father, you’ll find that His voice has been there all along—whispering life, love, and purpose.
Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, thank you for your Word in the Bible and for being a caring God. This month's challenge was to Rise and hear you anew. Thank you for renewing our faith. I pray for those struggling with belief that you activate your Word in their hearts as you did with Lazarus. We trust you to do it. In Jesus' name, amen.
