WELL.....Well-When the Well meets the woman, wellness begins.Scripture Focus:

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless...” – 1 Thessalonians 5:23
“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless...” – 1 Thessalonians 5:23

When the Well meets the woman, wellness begins. Scripture Focus:

"But whoever drinks the water I give them will never be thirsty again. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

St John 4:14

Reflection:

Wellness is not just about being better; it's about being your best. It’s about becoming whole.

There is a difference between being well and simply functioning. When you’re not whole, confusion enters. And when confusion enters, every part of you begins to respond to lies—your mind, your body, your soul.

In John 4, Jesus meets a woman who is bold and frail, all at the same time. She has been showing up at the same place with the same empty jar… until she meets the true Well. She had been drawing from Jacob’s well, but never really found rest. She was confused about worship, about men, about worth, about truth. But Jesus didn’t just offer her facts—He offered her living water.

And she was so ready for it. After such a long conversation filled with winding roads of confusion, the result was exactly the assignment Jesus knew he had to fulfill.

"For He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things." Psalms 107:9

The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden." Isaiah 58:11

As I read this story many times throughout my Christian Walk, it resonated differently with me. I saw Jesus (The WELL) asking the Woman at the well (Jacob's Well) for something she couldn't give for various reasons. The Master teacher was there to reveal truth to a woman living in "her truth," aiming to free her mind, body, soul, and spirit. I encourage you to read the story again and identify where there was a disconnect in her Wholeself or where she created another "whole" person to survive. This insight came from a part of the text I hadn't noticed before: "The Woman said, Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw." John 4:15.

I can understand using a mask as a means of survival. I want to encourage you to remove the mask and rediscover or realign with yourself. She is there, hidden in plain view. The version of you that you couldn’t see.

Are you ready to reconcile yourself? She awaits permission to be free, and Jesus is here to guide you.

Heart Work: Release

After writing, take 3 deep breaths. As you breathe out, name what you’re letting go of:

  • “I release confusion.”

  • “I release the pressure to perform.”

  • “I release the lie that I must do it all alone.”

 Reset with Truth

Read aloud 1 Thessalonians 5:23. Then write this declaration:

“God, I receive Your peace over every part of me—spirit, soul, and body.”

These are big steps. And if you're feeling like a deer in headlights—or like there’s a weight in your chest—you’re not alone.

You may not know how to release, much less reset. That’s okay. Wholeness doesn’t begin with doing—it begins with being honest.

If you’re ready to explore what wellness and wholeness could look like for you, I offer 1:1 clarity sessions made for this very moment.

Prayer for you:

Father, thank you for wanting the best for me. Forgive me for settling for less. I desire to be whole in body, soul, spirit, and mind. I know it takes time, but I'm committed. Thank you for your patience and for being with me on this journey. In Jesus' name, amen.
