F.A.I.T.H. – Resurrected Faith Acrostic "I"

Today's Word is small yet strong. Today, I want to challenge our posture. The Word, In for me, has so much to do with how I connect to something or someone. Let's jump in.
I – In
This is about placement. Resurrected faith is not “in” systems, people, platforms, or outcomes—it is in someone trustworthy. “In” speaks to your spiritual posture—abiding and resting in the right place.
“Abide in me, and I in you.” (John 15:4)
However, in the journey of faith, sometimes the smallest words carry the greatest weight. The "I" in F.A.I.T.H. stands for "In"—a simple word that asks a profound question:
Where is your faith placed?
You may not want to admit it, however, our Faith is always “in” something. And it's not always in God. It could be in
In our efforts.
In the approval of others.
In the outcome we’re hoping for.
But when faith gets misplaced—when it’s anchored “in” the wrong thing—it becomes fragile. It waivers when circumstances shift or when people disappoint us. That’s when we feel our faith slipping, not because it’s broken, but because it’s been built on shaky ground. Remember, James said,
"But let him ask in faith, with not doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord, he isa double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:6-8
Resurrected Faith Is Rightly Placed
Resurrected faith is about repositioning—putting your faith back in God. Not just in what He can do, but in who He is.
Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”Not by hearing the opinions of others. Not by hearing our doubts. But by hearing the Word, fresh, alive, and personal.
Today, I wanted to slow down a bit and have a reflection.
Where have I placed my faith lately?
Has it been “in” my plans or “in” His presence?
What would shift in my life if I fully placed my faith in my Heavenly Father?
Just as we have annual physical exams, our faith also needs regular check-ups to ensure we're not speaking without truly believing, especially after life's challenges.
Let's Pray
Father, thank you for your resurrection Power. The cross is our opportunity to see that you can bring dead things back to life. So, today, where our faith is dead or dormant in any area, we know we need a word. For one word from you changes everything. So, speak, Lord, as we listen for you. In Jesus' name, amen.
